CASE HISTORIES
One Real Estate company has agents strategically place keys decorated with if found call xxxx? next to their logo. They leave the custom keys around town to be found by potential prospects. Many people call to report the missing decorated key to the Real Estate office creating an opportunity to build a new relationship.
Another real estate agent split the order with her broker by adding her name, title & phone to the backs of the keys on the initial order and is using them as business cards (putting them directly on her prospects ring) at events and open houses. She also has several of them cut for her clients who bought a new home with her help.
An international retailers Northern Californias grand opening was grander for the people who came in the first day. 1,100 custom decorated keys were cut at the front door while 900 more custom keys put on rings of the shoppers who didn?t want to wait with up to 125 other people who stood in line to get a decorated key on their ring. The promo keys were so well received by the customers that this international retailer has added RelKeys to their next grand opening in Michigan hiring a locksmith to cut the keys for them. It didn?t hurt when this retailer?s top dog overheard one person in line say this nice Frisbee will end up on my roof by 2:00 today but that key you are cutting will be with me for a couple of years? thanks, very nice give-away.?
One distributor who also owns a national garage cabinet franchise bought keys for his franchise to take to the national convention. At the convention he cut his logo keys using his own machine for the other franchisees expecting them to order from him in droves.
One large distributor wont even sell the custom keys without ordering a key machine to go with the decorated keys. The national insurance customer who ordered 5,000 keys reported 10 times the foot traffic at their booth and are using our How To Cut Keys video as part of their marketing training program. Another of their customers had their sales person at the show to help with the key cutting and after training the people at the booth on how to cut a key used his time to create other orders. The traffic to the booth was the buzz of the trade show and created three leads for him.
A national pool chemical company ordered 5,000 Rel KeyTools for their tradeshow booth phoning the distributor from the show telling them that the item was magnificent and the second day of the show doubled the foot traffic of a busy first day because of the first day popularity of their new give-away. ?Awesome,? is how it was described by the booth workers.
These case histories all have three things in common: first, the consumers loved the product enough to tell their peers to stop by the booth. Second: the trade show give-aways ended up in the pockets of the prospects and not in the trade show bag or garbage can. Third: the RelKeys and Rel KeyTools are still in the pockets of their prospects.
